Activities performed: The Consultants prepared the feasibility study of a 300 MW thermal power plant for MAK group, Mongolia. The scope of the feasibility study includes the following tasks:

  • Mongolia’s energy sector and the current state and future outlook of the central regional power system
  • Current state of the project implementation site and infrastructure analysis   
  • Project site topography, climate conditions, power plant site selection, and coal reserves               
  • Electrical supply system, technical requirements, and operational analysis of the power plant project  
  • Selection and planning of main and auxiliary equipment
  • Power plant main building layout, thermal control instrumentation, and automation systems            
  • Water supply preparation and equipment selection for the 300 MW power plant               
  • Occupational safety and personnel               
  • Investment efficiency analysis         
  • General conclusion of the project
