Activities performed: The Consultants prepared the feasibility study of a 300 MW thermal power plant for MAK group, Mongolia. The scope of the feasibility study includes the following tasks:
- Mongolia’s energy sector and the current state and future outlook of the central regional power system
- Current state of the project implementation site and infrastructure analysis
- Project site topography, climate conditions, power plant site selection, and coal reserves
- Electrical supply system, technical requirements, and operational analysis of the power plant project
- Selection and planning of main and auxiliary equipment
- Power plant main building layout, thermal control instrumentation, and automation systems
- Water supply preparation and equipment selection for the 300 MW power plant
- Occupational safety and personnel
- Investment efficiency analysis
- General conclusion of the project
